A Census of the Taurus Star-forming Region and Neighboring Associations with Gaia*

Abstract I have used high-precision photometry and astrometry from the third data release of Gaia to perform a survey for members Taurus star-forming region young associations in its vicinity. This work has produced new catalog 532 adopted Taurus, which only minor changes relative previous Esplin & Luhman. divide into 13 groups that distinct kinematics. Meanwhile, identified 1378 candidate seven near Taurus. All these histograms spectral types peak M5 (?0.15 M ? ), resembling other populations solar neighborhood. For neighboring associations, estimated ages their sequences low-mass stars Hertzsprung–Russell diagrams. Most median ?1–3 Myr, while ranging 56 Myr. mid-infrared Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer search excess emission circumstellar disks among associations. Disks are detected 51 stars, 20 reported first time this work. Some recent studies proposed samples older (?10 Myr) found vicinity represent distributed population is associated with cloud complex.
